About Minister Powers

Minister Powers accepted his call to ministry and was officially licensed to teach the Gospel on September 12, 2022. He was mentored by Pastor Phyliss R. Kennedy, a faithful servant of the Kingdom whose leadership and guidance helped shape his foundation in ministry.

Throughout his time at Impartation Worship Center, Minister Powers has faithfully served in several capacities, including Finance Director, leader of the men’s ministry known as “Mountain Moving Men,” and as an armor bearer to the clergy who have ministered from the IWC pulpit. His heart for service and dedication to the house of God has been evident in every role he has embraced.

Minister Powers has been married to his beautiful wife, Raquel Powers, for over 25 years. Together they have built a strong family foundation and are the proud parents of six children and grandparents of two. He is committed to being a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather while striving daily to be a light within his community and a faithful servant of God.

Currently, Minister Powers serves as the Interim Lead Minister of Impartation Worship Center, continuing to guide and support the ministry with humility and faith.

​

In his personal time, Minister Powers enjoys spending quality time with his family, fellowshipping with the church congregation, appreciating classic cars, and seeking the direction and instruction of God in all areas of life.

​

His vision is to bring both unbelievers and believers into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. He remains committed to seeking God for wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and righteousness while faithfully proclaiming the message that without faith it is impossible to please God.

As he often reminds others:  "For we walk by faith, not by sight." — 2 Corinthians 5:7
